STUDENTS:  SKYed offers the following courses at a variety of locations.

INTRODUCTORY COURSES:

Introduction to LEED (2 Hours Total)

This 2-hour course will give a basic introduction the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) developed by the U.S. Green Building Council.  This class is intended for audiences with a limited understanding of the concepts of green building and the LEED Rating System.

 

Changes in LEED: A Peek at the New LEED V4 (2 Hours Total)

This 2-hour course will discuss the changes that have been made within the newest version of LEED, LEED V4.  It will also serve to introduce the audience to the services we will offer for the LEED Accredited Professional V4 exam preparation.  Specifically we will discuss the major changes in LEED V3 including: 1) LEED v4: Advancement to the rating system , 2) LEED Online: Faster, smarter & a better user experience,  3) Certification Model: GBCI, Certification Bodies, and the LEED AP Program.  This class is intended for audiences who are familiar with the LEED Version 3 Rating System and LEED AP’s who want to know what will happen to their credentials under the new LEED Version 4.

 

EXAM PREPARATION COURSES:

LEED Green Associate: Exam Preparation (7 Hours Total)

The LEED Green Associate (GA) is a credential for professionals who want to demonstrate green building expertise in non-technical fields of practice.  It denotes basic knowledge of green design, construction, and operations. You must successfully take and pass the LEED GA exam, as well as fulfill experience requirements to become a LEED GA.  The Green Associate credential also serves as the first step for professionals pursuing a LEED AP with specialization.  This course is designed to help audiences study for the LEED GA Exam more efficiently.

 

LEED AP+ Operations & Maintenance: Exam Preparation  (12 Hours Total)

The LEED AP+ O&M credential provides a standard for professionals participating in the operations and maintenance of existing buildings that implement sustainable practices and reduce the environmental impact of a building over its functional life cycle.  You must successfully take and pass the LEED GA exam and the LEED AP+ O&M Specialty exam, as well as fulfill experience requirements to become a LEED AP+ O&M.  This course is designed to help audiences study for the LEED O&M Exam more efficiently.  This course does not prepare students for the LEED GA exam.

 

LEED AP+ Building Design & Construction: Exam Preparation (12 Hours Total)

The LEED AP+ BD&C provides a standard for professionals participating in the design and construction phases of high-performance, healthy, durable, affordable, and environmentally sound commercial, institutional, and high-rise residential buildings.  You must successfully take and pass the LEED GA exam and the LEED AP+ BD&C Specialty exam, as well as fulfill experience requirements to become a LEED AP+ BD&C.  This course is designed to help audiences study for the LEED BD&C Exam more efficiently.  This course does not prepare students for the LEED GA exam.

 

LEED AP+ Interior Design & Construction: Exam Preparation (12 Hours Total)

LEED AP+ ID&C credential provides a standard for professionals participating in the design and construction of high-performance commercial spaces and tenant improvements that provide healthy, productive places to work, are less costly to operate and maintain, and are environmentally responsible. You must successfully take and pass the LEED GA exam and the LEED AP+ ID&C Specialty exam, as well as fulfill experience requirements to become a LEED AP+ ID&C.  This course is designed to help audiences study for the LEED ID&C Exam more efficiently.  This course does not prepare students for the LEED GA exam.

 

LEED AP+ Home: Exam Preparation (12 Hours Total)

LEED AP+ Homes credential provides a standard for professionals participating in design and construction of high-performance green homes that use less energy, water, and natural resources; create less waste; and are more healthful and comfortable for the occupants. You must successfully take and pass the LEED GA exam and the LEED AP+ Homes Specialty exam, as well as fulfill experience requirements to become a LEED AP+ Homes.  This course is designed to help audiences study for the LEED Homes Exam more efficiently.  This course does not prepare students for the LEED GA exam.
