New York City, NY - Last night I had the great pleasure to be present at the New York City Hall when the Urban Green Council presented it's recommendations to the City Council for "Green" Building codes.  The announcement received great media attention and excitement for the green building movement.  Recently, New York City announced it's Energy Code changes as part of plaNYC that will affect making many of the city's existing largest buildings more energy efficient.  There is now great hope that further legislation will be taken pertaining to new construction.  There are surely good things to come.
